Job Description

  • We are seeking applications for an Administrative Assistant to work in the Retail, Rental and Repair Departments for the 2022-23 season. This is a demanding role, as these departments have up to 80 staff.Duties and responsibilities include:
    • Managing and ordering office and operating supplies
    • Data input into Retail Pro and Sirius (eg. inputting orders, receiving orders, writing off damaged goods)
    • Creating various reports
    • Preparing documentation for receipt of goods
    • Coding invoices
    • Liaising with suppliers
    • Overseeing warranties and returns
    • Collecting and maintaining staff records
    • Conducting orientation, and workplace health and safety sessions with new staff
    • Conducting workplace safety inspections
    • Assisting in our retail shops and the Rental Shop if needed
    • Scheduling appointments for VP and managers
    • Making travel bookings
    • Archiving
    • Filing
    • Updating and creating templates and signs
    • Updating staff information manuals
    • Maintaining a clean and tidy office space

    Qualifications / experience:

    • Experience as an Administrative, Executive or Personal Assistant is highly desirable, but not vital
    • Experience in retail is desirable
    • Experience using Retail Pro and/or Sirius is an asset
    • Must have strong command of Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel
    • Must be able to touch type a minimum of 60-70 words per minute

    • Excellent time-management and organizational skills
    • Strong written and verbal communication
    • Professional and friendly manner
    • Respect for the confidentiality of personal and business information obtained in the course of employment

    Location: The Village Centre Mall, Big White Ski Resort, BC

    Wages: To be determined. Will be discussed during interview.

    Duration: Winter season (finishes late April 2023)
