The Senior IT Systems Analyst (S-ITSA) is a collaborative role that works closely with colleagues in IT-Services and university stakeholders and third-party service providers to analyze patterns, identify problems and determine, lead software/process design, present and clearly communicate the rational behind team recommendations, document and coordinate implementation of solutions as part of product delivery among multiple teams and stakeholders.
This role participation and leadership in all phases of the software development lifecycle process including solutions planning, development/testing and delivery into operations. They will actively pursue opportunities to mentor and develop teammates and colleagues during the lifecycle of a project.
The S-ITSA takes responsibility for independent learning, a genuine interest and time commitment to develop technical and business skills while learning and improving from environmental feedback while delivering high quality solutions. The S-ITSA requires a strong technical background and confidence in delivering and managing both cloud based and legacy applications within a team environment.

Job Requirements

Degree or diploma in Computer Science or related field – a combination of experience and education will be considered
5+ years of solution analysis in a development environment
Demonstrated knowledge and experience working within hosted environments
Demonstrated experience with Object Oriented and procedural programming
Familiarity working with front end frameworks
An in-depth understanding of information systems and familiarity with the software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile development practices
Advanced problem solving and time management skills
Proven ability to work well independently as well as part of a team
Knowledge of Restful and microservices
Other duties as required

Additional Information
This is a temporary, full-time position working 37.5 hours per week for a term from June 2022 until March 2023. This position has been evaluated at MPT-D with a salary range of $73,884 (minimum) to $86,922 (midpoint) to $99,960 (maximum) per annum. Employment offers will normally be made between the minimum and midpoint of the range and are determined by knowledge, experience and internal equity.
