Job Description

  • Full Job Description

    Westridge Engineering is currently seeking a Civil Technologist to join our Organization. The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with Project Managers & Project Engineers in the delivery of infrastructure solutions to clients primarily within Land development Engineering/Municipal Infrastructure.

    Responsibilities:

    • Prepare engineering drawings, plans using AutoCAD/Civil 3D and other relevant drainage software for preparing storm water management plan to Municipal Standards.
    • Civil design of municipal infrastructure with a focus on linear infrastructure, Drainage works review, water, sanitary and storm sewer, roadworks design in land development and municipal applications.
    • Erosion and Sediment control site reviews.
    • Conduct field inspection of civil servicing construction including roadworks, storm, and sanitary sewers, water mains, lot grading, and storm water management systems
    • Prepare Engineering drawings to specified standards. (MMCD, Municipal design criteria)
    • Deal with city and third parties for approval of projects.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or Engineering Design and Drafting;
    • 2+ years of experience in AutoCAD drafting and design;
    • Must have minimum 2 – 5 years’ experience in land development/municipal projects
    • Currently registered or able to register as Technologist with ASTTBC
    • Experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D software is mandatory;
    • Highly motivated, hardworking and enthusiastic team player;
    • Proficient computer skills including a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a flexible attitude are a must.
    • Capable of working independently.

    Job Type: Full time, Permanent
    Work hours are 9:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday.
    Salary based on experience.

    The start date for this position is as soon as possible and the salary is negotiable depending upon experience.
